The newsletter is published to show both the current situation in Fukushima Prefecture following the earthquake and tsunami of March 11 and the activities of local international exchange groups and foreign residents in the area.

The second issue of Gyro provides information on current radiation levels in the prefecture as well as the activities of several international groups, as well as information on subsidies available for international groups in Fukushima and their earthquake information services for foreign residents.
