Japan Study Tour
2008 – Nagano
Connecting the Urban and the Rural
Twelve representatives from local government-related organisations in the UK spent almost two weeks in November 2008 touring Tokyo and Nagano for the 2008 Japan Study Tour. Some of the many activities and visits included a tour of Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Waste Management Centre, and studies into sustainability and ‘green tourism’ in rural communities around Nagano prefecture.
