At the event held by ICLEI Japan in conjunction with the Japanese Ministry of the Environment and the British Embassy in Tokyo, 83 participants from 34 local authorities \u2013 including Leeds and Bristol \u2013 confirmed their commitment to reducing energy use, switching to renewable energy, and promoting a lifestyle with less environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>Already 124 cities and prefectures in Japan have registered.
