The award is a competitive grant which will award $50million worth technology and services to 100 cities around the world over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>According to the award\u2019s webpage, cities who receive the grant must match IBM\u2019s investment with their own time and resources, with an emphasis on how smarter technologies can help tackle the financial and infrastructure challenges of city life.
