Promoting Local Food Strategies<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2007 Japan Study Tour was conducted in Shimane Prefecture under the theme of the “Dietary Education Promotion Policy of Shimane”. Ten local government related participants from the UK took part,\u00a0where they learnt\u00a0about the “Shimane Dietary Education Promotion Plan” through visits to places such as the agricultural cooperative and primary schools. On the final day, participants discussed employment related projects being undertaken by their respective local governments. Overall it was a worthwhile seminar for all parties involved.<\/p>\n
