LINKS ABOUT THE NORTH EAST JAPAN EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI:


JLGC has received many requests from UK and EU local government related organisations about donations to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in the areas affected.  The following links give information on how to make direct donations to the prefectures and local authorities in Tohoku who have set up accounts to receive funds. Donations are being accepted through international money transfer using the details from the following links below.  Please contact JLGC for any assistance if needed in organising a transfer.  

We can also help with organising transfers to affected  local authorities' disaster relief funds
at city, towns and village level
within the affected region.

Donations to the Embassy of Japan in the UK
The Embassy of Japan in the UK is accepting donations for relief efforts in response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake.  All donations received will be converted into yen and forwarded to the Japanese Red Cross Society to be dispensed to assist the people in the Tohoku region who have been affected by this disaster.
